London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games
Like the rest of the nation, Parcelforce Worldwide is excited about and busy planning for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Like us, you no doubt rely on road, rail and pedestrian routes to ensure the smooth running of your business operations – whether that’s for employees travelling to work or delivering on your customer promises. Heightened security, road closures and restricted access will see a major change to transport links in and around our Capital from July through to September. So we’ve set up a dedicated planning team to assess and limit any logistical impacts to our services.
To manage this, we’ve been working closely with organisations, such as Transport for London and The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG), for several months now. Our preparations have also included taking input from our people who provide services to you locally.
In some cases we will need to amend our routes and flex our operational service times, so I’d like to make an early request for your understanding and flexibility around our plans. Of course, we’ll talk to you about your plans and priorities during the summer, and we’ll talk to you about our detailed plans, including collections and deliveries, as soon as they’re finalised. This site will provide updated information on our planning as well as advice and tips as London 2012 approaches.
