Service Update Latest
Service update – Tuesday 7th February 2012
Despite the difficult weather conditions yesterday we managed to provide a near normal service and we expect that to be further improved today. However, we do recognise there are a few remote areas which are still difficult to reach, but our drivers will still make every effort possible to deliver where they can.
Potential Email Scam
We have been made aware of a specific email scam, whereby individuals are being sent an email reporting to be from Parcelforce Worldwide. This requests that they make payment to receive delivery of their parcel. This could be as a result of an individual expressing of interest in buying an item advertised on the internet.
THIS EMAIL IS NOT FROM PARCELFORCE WORLDWIDE. WE WOULD NEVER SEND UNSOLICITED EMAILS TO CUSTOMERS REQUESTING PAYMENT LIKE THIS.
If you are at all suspicious upon receiving such an e mail, you should report it to the appropriate website and if necessary also to the Police.
We would advise the recipient of any unsolicited email to never open any links or attachments contained within it, but instead visit the website of the organisation concerned. Further help on Internet security issues can be found at www.getsafeonline.org.
Important note: Printing of shipping labels
Our collection booking system uses Adobe Reader to display your shipping label for printing. A problem has been identified with the 10.1.2 version released by Adobe w/c 9th January, the result of which means that you will not be able to print you label if you have this latest version installed. You can continue to use Adobe Reader version 9.5 and this is available to download at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5336
(please copy and paste this into your web browser to go to the Adobe Reader download page on the Adobe website). We await an update on a fix from Adobe for the latest version.
