The transition period
The UK formally left the European Union on 31st January 2020 after the Withdrawal Agreement was officially ratified in Parliament.
We are now in what’s known as the ‘transition period’ until at least 31st December 2020 while the EU and UK negotiate the new arrangements.
We do not expect any changes during the transition period. This means you will not have to make any immediate changes to the way you think about customs or VAT, and your goods can carry on circulating between the UK and the rest of the EU as they do today.
You will, however, need to start preparing for possible changes after the transition period - so please refer to this website regularly for Brexit updates.
