Compensation, refunds and claims
Inclusive compensation
In the unlikely event that your parcel is either lost or damaged, you are automatically covered up to the levels outlined in the table below. Our globaleconomy service is not covered by compensation. Indirect or consequential loss, including any labour costs, however caused, are not covered.
If these levels are not enough, you can choose to increase cover up to £2500 per consignment for guaranteed services or £450 per parcel for globalvalue. Our globaleconomy service is not covered by compensation. Musical instruments will only be covered up to the amount of inclusive compensation for loss or damage which varies per service. For items excluded from compensation for loss and damage on the globalexpress service please see our compensation exclusion page. No loss or damage compensation will be paid when two or more parcels are strapped together.
For your own peace of mind, please make sure all items are adequately packaged. For help on packaging, please visit our packaging guidelines page. We will be unable to consider claims for damage if the parcel has not been packaged properly. If the item is lost, or damaged beyond repair, an independent agent assesses the damage and may be used to supply a replacement - subject to the maximum compensation for the service used, allowing for wear and tear and depreciation where appropriate. The lowest of the cost/sale price will be used to settle a claim and VAT will be reimbursed in appropriate cases.
Where a claim for damage is settled in full the ownership of the goods and legal title to them will be transferred to Parcelforce Worldwide.

All claims for damage or loss must be received within 30 days of posting except for globalexpress which must be received within 15 days of posting and globalvalue and HM forces claims which must be received within 120 days.
