Operating System and Internet Browser Compatibility
The following details outline the PC operating systems and internet browsers our websites support:-
Compatible PC Operating Systems:-
The following Operating Systems are fully compatible with our WDM Online shipping and website collection booking systems:
• Windows 2000
• Windows XP
• Windows Vista
• Windows 7
• Windows 8
• Apple Mac
Compatible Internet Browsers
The following Internet Browsers are fully compatible with our WDM Online shipping and collection booking systems:
Internet Explorer 6 / 7 / 8 / 9
Internet Explorer 10 (v 10.0.9)
Google Chrome (v28.0)
Safari (v 6.0.3) - with Apple Mac OS
Firefox (v 23.0)- Please note if you are using www.parcelforce.com to book a collection, there may be a message under the system check box that explains about the adobe reader not being compatible. If you click on the CONTINUE TO BOOK button, you will be able to continue to print your labels.
The latest version of Firefox includes an internal PDF viewer which does not appear to have the capability to print barcodes. You will need to revert to Adobe Reader version 10 rather than Adobe Reader 11 in order to print your labels. We are working on a solution to support Adobe 11, and will update our systems as soon as possible.
We are also aware that IE11 is now available and is being downloaded to windows PC’s. Our websites are not compatible with this version of IE at this time, but we are working on an update in order to support the new version. We would advise you to revert to IE10 in the short term and we will update our systems as soon as possible.
In terms of mobile devices, unfortunately our WDM Online shipping & website collection booking systems do not currently support these. We are assessing the changes required to make our website collection booking systems compatible with mobile devices (iPhone / iPad / smart phones / tablets etc) during our developments for early 2014/15.
