Angling Direct started 30 years ago when our two founding directors bought a small fishing tackle store in Wroxham, Norfolk.
Through a series of small store acquisitions in Norfolk we launched our first ‘superstore’ in Norwich in 2000. And, since then, we’ve grown to 15 stores and have an aim to grow to over 30 stores in the next 5 years.
We were one of the first in our sector to embrace online trading in 1998 and are now the market leader with over 20% of the market.
Choosing the right carrier has been a big part of this success. We chose Parcelforce Worldwide for their quality of service and systems integration. In addition, being in the fishing tackle industry means that a reasonable proportion of our products are considered long, bulky or awkward by various carriers.
