Important information for senders
Customs, Prohibitions and Restrictions
- Sending parcels to Argentina requires customs paperwork for most items
- In order to confirm that your items are not prohibited or restricted, please check our dedicated page here
- Since January 2014, Argentina’s government has had restrictions limiting citizens to two purchases of goods from foreign e-commerce websites each year and restricted the value to only $25 worth of total goods.
- Anyone looking to buy more than this amount will have to register with the government as importers (CUIT/CUIL), to comply with the country’s new import regulations, the "General Import Regime".
- As well as registering as importers, consumers buying more from abroad than the two-item, $25 limit will face a 50% import tax on anything they buy, including shipping costs.
- Consumers buying more than their limit of goods will not be able to have items delivered to their home, or even to a post office for collection — they will have to pick up items direct from customs facilities and complete paperwork to collect items.
- Should you require specific customs advice and the latest rules please visit the Argentinian customs website

General Advice
- In order to ensure a delivery on time, please ensure that your parcel has the full, correct address, an email address in the correct format and a mobile or landline number for the intended recipient. This will help the delivery partner to ensure the parcel is delivered correct first time. This should be clearly marked on the parcel.
- Timescales shown above do not include delays caused by destination country customs processes. Please be aware that customs could add additional time to your parcel delivery.
