Important information for senders
Customs, Prohibitions and Restrictions
- As of the 5 July 2024, the de minimis value threshold applied to value-added tax (VAT) has been abolished for low-value goods imported into Thailand. This means that goods imported by post with a value between 1 and 1,500 baht, inclusive of freight and insurance charges will be exempt from import duties moving forward.
- In order to check that your items are not prohibited or restricted, please check our dedicated page here
- In addition, labelling on goods ideally should be in Thai.
- Import licences are needed for tobacco, and for some goods which compete with products made in Thailand from indigenous materials.
- Packaged foodstuffs are subject to labelling regulations.
- Second hand clothes need a fumigation certificate

- In order to ensure a delivery on time, please ensure that your parcel has the full, correct address, an email address in the correct format and a mobile or landline number for the intended recipient. This will help the delivery partner to ensure the parcel is delivered correct first time. This should be clearly marked on the parcel.
